The possible absence of injured warriors teammates Ivan Enabu and Eric Malinga could instead be a source of inspiration to Norman Blick as his side faces off with champions D’Mark power.

The two teams meet in the rebranded Airtel basketball league at YMCA Wandegeya tonight. “We are aware that they have a young and energetic team that will need to apply a quick game to check our fitness.

We might miss Eric and Ivan but will as usual use our size and experience to neutralize them,” Blick stated. Blick and his brother Donald, who will be up against their former team, underplayed the magnitude of the clash between the rival sides.

“It’s just like any other game but it’s the fans hyping it. We are ready to go despite the injuries,” Blick said.

Power, that is second on the table with 14 points, is out to dislodge warriors (16 points) from the top of standings. if the imposing frame of Sam Gombya gets sufficient supply of the ball, the warriors have a strong weapon in their ranks.

while Blick’s optimism is justified given warriors’ performance so far, the Kyambogo side have a daunting task of measuring up to the challenge that power’s seasonal players Isaac Afidra, Ben Komakech and sensational stylish Joseph Ikong let alone the rest of the stellar squad.
