Sneak peak at Brenda Maraka's 2012 collection

Award-winning Ugandan designer Brenda Maraka on Saturday gave a sneak peek into what she will be doing this year when she showcased a selection from her 2012 repertoire during the Purim festival held at the Source of the Nile Gardens in Njeru, Buikwe district.

She showed five outfits from two collections, one she called ‘Flower Power’ and inspired by the flower movement of the 1970s; and a ‘Black & White’ collection she said was inspired by musical note as and African instruments.

“This is part of a much bigger, as yet unfinished collection I intend to put on show in April,” she said.

“But generally it is a much brighter mood based on bigger and better expectations on what this year will bring in our lives.”
