URA coach Alex Isabirye is confident his side will advance to the next round of the CAF Orange Africa Champions League, despite missing the services of experienced defender Simeon Masaba in the away return leg against Lesoth Correction Services.

Flight connections made it impossible for Masaba to connect from Congo Brazzaville to Maseru, the venue of the return leg on Sunday. Masaba played in the Cranes side that lost 3-1 away in Congo in an African Nations Cup first round qualifier.

But with a 3-0 first leg advantage, Isabirye believes the Uganda tax collectors will make it to the next round.

“We play as a team. We know that we will need a extra effort to preserve our advantage but we can’t think about those missing in action. We will look at the potential we have and how to utilise it effectively,” said Isabirye before they left for Lesotho yesterday.

Isabirye, who insisted that they had not advanced to the next round despite a comfortable win says that he will have to block LCS, whose advantage is speed and playing long balls behind the opponents defenders.
