Bad Black lover Sentongo granted bail

Court Friday granted bail to Kampala businessman Meddie Sentogo facing fraud charges.

The city, socialite Ssentongo who is facing fraud charges at the Anti-Corruption Court over sh20b faces arrest if interferes with witness, court has ruled.
Justice Catherine Bamugemereire while granting bail to Ssentogo said his bail would be cancelled and be remanded to Luzira prison if he threatens witnesses.
Prosecution led by state attorneys Paul Lakidi and Mackay Robert said Bad Black and Ssentongo, between October 2010 and February 2011 in Kampala conspired and defrauded Daveshan Development of U$9m(about sh20b).
In a separate count, Bad Black who was charged last year is alleged to have embezzled sh11b from the same Company, while she was a director.
Ssentongo was granted a cash bail of sh5m and his three sureties are to execute a non cash bond of sh20m.
He was ordered to also deposit his land titles for Kyadondo Block 221 plot 1366 and another land title in the names of Leo Kiwewesi Semanda, Busiiro Block 379 plo t1105 in court.
Justice Bamugemereire further ordered Ssentongo to deposit his passport in court and keep reporting to the registrar of court every third day of the month.
