NORMAN Blick is on the move again, this time to the Falcons. Discussions on a two-year contract have been completed and all that is left is for Blick to put pen to paper, completing his exit from the Miracle Eagles after just one season.

“Miracle has good players but it seems like the management is not really interested in winning a championship,” said Norman, explaining his departure from the Eagles, which will mark the end of his remarkable record of leading all his FUBA clubs to a championship.

Blick led the Sky Jammers to the 2001 title, Nkumba Marines to the 2005 and 2006 crowns before helping Power claim the 2009 championship.

With Miracle, Norman could not do more than the club’s maiden playoffs appearance, which ended with the 3-1 semi-finals loss to eventual champions Power.

The Falcons did not make it to the playoffs, largely due to a points penalty resulting from a technicality over Phillip Amweny’s transfer, but Norman is content with their plans for next season.

“The key thing is having a coach who understands the players and the club is working on finding a good a coach,” Blick revealed. “Whatever the club is planning is very good.”

The Falcons endured a horrible time last season, losing founder John Simbwa to illness before missing the postseason for the first time ever. But signing Blick would represent a statement of intent from club president Denis Mbidde.

Needless to add, signing Norman means you also get his younger sibling Donna because, when it comes to the Blicks, buy one get one free.
