Lukwago, Musisi meet Judge for mediation

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) executive director are set to meet High Court judge Eldad Mwangushya today (Wednesday) for arbitration.

The Judge offered to reconcile Lukwago and Musisi who are locked in a power wrangle.

He made the offer when their court battle came up for hearing at the High Court in Kampala barely two weeks ago. 

The reconciliation meeting on will take place in the Judge’s chambers where both parties and their counsels are expected to attend.

Lukwago was present in court together with his legal team Medard  Segona, Caleb Alaka, Samuel Muyizzi, and Julius Galisonga. Lawyers Andrew Kasirye and Claire Namanya represented Musisi who was absent.

The case arose on September 23, when Lukwago filed an application for judicial review seeking to restrain Musisi from making purported unlawful decisions. He said Musisi was depicting the office of the Lord Mayor as being ceremonial.
