MASAKA - The minister without portfolio in the Prime Minister’s office, Janat Mukwaya, has urged the public to hold village meetings and identify problems and solutions. She was addressing residents at a public dialogue meeting at the recreation grounds on Tuesday. Mukwaya accused the residents of making their leaders dictators by not participating in the planning process.

Farmers start own market

MUKONO - Farmers in Nakifuma have started a weekly market for their produce. The market, located on Kayunga Road, was opened on Wednesday at a function presided over by the Kyagwe county chief, Benjamin Kigongo. The market chairman, John Senkungu, said this will link them to the buyers, ridding them of exploitative middle-men.
