A Ugandan film, Imani, was recently nominated for an award at the Berlin International Film festival.

The post LRA war film follows the lives of three characters.

The film has, however, stirred more trouble for the film maker Carol Kamya. In an email to all the Maisha film lab alumni and management, a Makerere University lecturer, Judith Adong, has claimed credit for the script. Adong said she gave the script to Maisha Film Lab, where Kamya got it.

Meanwhile, Kamya claims she paid Adong shs500,000. But Adong claims she wants the credit: “Original story and script by Adong Lucy Judith.”

The film is set to premiere in March at Cineplex.
