THE 50 years of the Uganda National Culture Centre have been years of upheaveal, a rich cultural history, arts creativity and at times even dull.

Tomorrow, the institutions’ golden jubilee celebrations at the National Theatre will put all that history in perspective, but with more interest to the current artistic and cultural climate to start off the next 50 years.

The celebrations also coincide with the World Theatre Day. There will be several artistic presentations throughout the day. M.D.D, Theatre Factory and Pablo will perform.

To seal the ambiguous entertainment package will be poetry, visual art and dance. Charles Mulekwa’s, Midnight Hour, will be staged.
