EXPRESS FC will strengthen their status as table leaders with a victory in the Uganda Super League away to Kinyara today.

However, to achieve that, the Red Eagles will need a top-notch performance to survive the intensity of the fixture in a stadium that has proved an unreceptive venue for visiting sides in recent months.Giants KCC FC are the latest victims at Kinyara’s Masindi grounds.

The former league champions were dumped from the Kakungulu Cup last weekend in a 7-6 penalty shoot-out defeat after the game had ended goalless.Kinyara are unbeaten in their previous four home matches since their 2-1 defeat to Police in November last year.

Although the Masindi side lost 1-0 to Express in their first round engagement, the upcountry side will certainly build plenty of confidence from their Kakungulu Cup win over KCC.

“We know its going to be a tough game and we hope we can stop the aggression and physical intimidation of Kinyara players,” Express assistant coach Matia Lule stated.

Lule will ask his charges to keep the tempo as high as possible, with attacking midfielder Noah Ssemakula at the heart of their game.

Meanwhile Patrick Edema converted from the spot deep into the second half to lead Nalubaale FC to a 1-0 win over Police at Nakivubo yesterday.

The striker had been a victim of Siraje Ssevvume foul inside the Cops penalty area and the 20-year old did not make any mistake as he sent his shot beyond the brave dive of Joseph Sebuliba in the Police goal.
