UGANDA’s Victoria team in the Bamburi Rugby Super Series has a mountain to climb in tomorrow’s semi final clash against Cheetahs in Nairobi. But coach Sam Ahamya has all eyes focused on the trophy and the sh5m cash prize for the winner.

Ahamya boldly declared that he is aware of the task ahead but has assembled the strongest and most motivated team ever for the tie.

“We are set and ready to face what they give us. The boys are in good mood and are set to defy all odds,” the soft spoken coach said.

He also confirmed that his experienced players are all fit for the crunch tie alongside a host of new test candidates.

Ahamya’s boys are out to break the jinx that has seen Ugandan teams fail to go past the semi final stage in the history of the annual tournament.

Last year Uganda’s Rwenzori lost to defending champions Rhinos in the semi finals.

Cheetahs, an amalgama
tion of the cream of Kenya’s experienced players are out to end Victoria’s hopes.

Victoria is sponsored by Hima Cement, Insurance firm UAP, Kampala Coach, AAR and Broadband.
