Residents urged to plant trees
KITGUM - The district chairman, John Ogwok, has urged residents to plant trees to avoid desertification. “Many people are cutting down trees without minding about what will happen once they are finished. We need to act now to save the environment,” Ogwok said while launching a tree planting campaign at YY Okot Memorial School recently. He appealed to members of the community to extend the campaign to their homes.
