Four people in Entebbe have expressed interest in Mayor Stephen Kabuye’s seat. Kabuye has occupied the seat for the last 20 years.

NRM’s Hebert Musitwa Musaala and Kasozi Kiluweru; Sabila Dini Katabazi, an independent and DP’s Vincent Kayanja are aspiring for the seat.

“Kabuye has been in power for 20 years, so he cannot bring anything new now. That calls for new blood,” Katabazi said.

He pledges to construct new roads and put security lights all over the municipality.

Kayanja says he has studied Kabuye’s weaknesses over the past decade and he has designed a strategy to beat him on the basis of that.

However, Kabuye says he is still strong and ready for the challenge.

“I have done several things and my people still love me,” he said.

Kabuye said he has given chicks to the people, under the prosperity-for-all scheme, and constructed roads and markets.

He challenged the aspiring candidates to tell the people what they would do for them, other than blackmailing their opponents.
