Struggling singer and radio presenter, Faridah Mayanja, must have had a change of mind. She recently declared her intentions to contest for the Rubaga South parliamentary seat, currently being occupied by Susan Nampijja. We spotted her on Wilson Street printing her posters. She has also been seen quietly moving around telling people to vote for her. It is interesting to note that Mayanja recently bought a Toyota Surf probably to facilitate her campaigns. Mayanja, has no history and experience in politics.
Maddoxx sold music rights for freedom
Reggae singer Maddoxx Sematimba’s recent freedom from custody was costly. We have learnt that the singer had to exchange rights to his music to Bluecube, a mobile solutions provider, just to pay the first instalment of the debt for which he was sent to Luzira Prison. The same company paid singer Bobi Wine millions last week to distribute his music through caller tunes, ring tones and phone wallpaper.
