SOCCER - KOBE overran Mpologoma yesterday to qualify for the Buganda Bika football final. Allan Male, Richard Ssekamate and Tom Nsereko scored a goal each as Kobe advanced on a 4-0 aggregate. They will face Nte in Saturday’s final at Nakivubo.

Arua to host under 14 youth finals
SOCCER – THIS year’s U-14 Junior Champions League finalsare set for Arua between 17-19 September. Kampala Central are the defending champions of the annual tournament Organised by the Friends of Football (FOF) and sponsored by Kampala firm City Tyres. The finals will be preceded by the preliminaries organized in the regions from where the best teams will qualify for the national championship. The sponsors are to unveil their tournament package this morning at their office in Industrial area, Kampala.

15 arrive for ball and game championship
GAMES - FIFTEEN districts have arrived for the national primary ball and games championship in Arua district that starts on Wednesday. According to Arua district sports officer Rafael Bito Ezati, this year’s theme is “Quality Physical Education and Sports For All” in which the children will be involved in football, volley and netball tournaments. “We have 10 football fields, 6 pitches each for netball and volley balls all in the municipality,” Bito added.
