NATIONAL golf team captain Stephen Kasaija has vowed to see his team retain the East Africa Challenge next year, Swalley Kenyi reports.

Kasaija hopes to use the inspiration from the Uganda Sports Press Association accolade to drive the team to success.

The national golfers were voted USPA Sports Personality for the month of November following their triumph in Rwanda.

They collected 410 points to beat draughts player Frank Zziwa (390) and Premier Cricket Club (355) to the sports journalists’ monthly award at the scribe’s assembly at Oasis Club in Lugogo yesterday.

It is the second time the team is winning the award after they won it in September last year.
