The health centre, located on Oboja Road in Jinja town, serves about 600 patients per day. One of the workers, who preferred anonymity, said they got a disconnection notice a week before the disconnection. He said the health centre had a sh2m debt but the in- charge, Jackson Lubuuya, did not respond in time.
He said instead of clearing the debt, the in charge, the division chairman and councilors went for a tour. “They got sh700,000 as their allowances for the tour , leaving us and the patients suffering,†he said
