A Mobile phone attendant who slapped his boss after they failed to decide who was the worthy winner in the just concluded Mango, lucky draw earned a sacking.

Vincent and his boss Kizza, both residents of Wandegeya, quarrelled after the number of ‘their’ mobile phone connected to Mango appeared to have won a prize in the weekly draw. The lucky number in the draw had won cases of Pepsi and Castle Lager.

The drama all started when Vincent, who was given the phone to make money, raised hell when the boss, Kizza, a Makerere University student, broke the news that their number was lucky and had won a prize. Kizza had come to get some money for the day from Vincent.

He made the right utterance at the wrong time, because when he praised Vincent for such luck, the attendant expected to get his share, but it was not so. This is what annoyed Vincent and as he argued that by virtue of being the person who purchased the air-time cards, he deserved at least half the prize.

Kizza must have regretted why he broke the news, because he was not willing to share anything. A bitter quarrel ensued and on-lookers cheered, most of them siding with Vincent.

Vincent lost his cool and slapped his boss, almost five years his junior. He was immediately fired and he walked away towards Katanga in disbelief.
