Seroma Christian High School in Mukono district has offered four scholarships to the best Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) students from the districts under insurgency namely Kitgum, Pader, Bundibugyo and Gulu.

Seroma Christian High School in Mukono district has offered four scholarships to the best Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) students from the districts under insurgency namely Kitgum, Pader, Bundibugyo and Gulu.

This was disclosed by Mr Earnest Kavuma Mugalaasi the school coordinator, flanked by the school board members at the coordination office near Clock Tower.

Mugalaasi said the board decided to take this humanitarian step because they were inspired by Jesus Christ’s teaching, ‘Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy’.

He said the management felt sympathetic towards such children who endured terrible hardships to obtain outstanding grades.

The students will get free education at the school from senior one up to senior four.

The scholarship includes tuition fees and boarding facilities amounting to sh400,000.

Other requirements such as scholastic materials are to be met by the parents or guardians.
