There was drama at the Miss Uganda contest in Mbale last Saturday when Bell (UBL) clashed with Club (Nile Breweries)
There was drama at the Miss Uganda contest in Mbale last Saturday when Bell (UBL) clashed with Club (Nile Breweries).
Miss Uganda organiser, Sylvia Owori was seething with anger when she caught Bell agents pulling down her sponsors posters — those of Club at Mbale Resort Hotel where the contest was held.
Bad blood reigned the whole afternoon to an extent that phone calls were made to Brenda Mbathi, Director of Marketing at UBL and Dr. Martin Aliker, UBL Chairman before the situation simmered down. The stand off however, didn’t last long.
That evening a Bell promotion truck with loud blaring music thrice drove right outside the gates of the hotel encouraging people to go to the Bell promotion!
