Children, Uganda recently lost someone who has special love for children like you. Jacqueline Ann Hodgkins, the founder of the Welcome Home Ministries died on July 22nd this year in San Bernardino, California, of cancer.
Children, Uganda recently lost someone who has special love for children like you. Jacqueline Ann Hodgkins, the founder of the Welcome Home Ministries died on July 22nd this year in San Bernardino, California, of cancer.
She gave children a home where they were loved and properly looked after.
Hodgkins especially cared for those children who were abandoned, sick and dying. She also cared for children whose parents had died and have no one to look after the children, in a home called Welcome Home Ministries, located in Jinja.
Between 50 to 70 children were looked after in this home. These children would later be adopted after the age of six. Different people from the United States of America faithfully sent money to help give these children a better life.
She lived in Uganda for nine years and never married.
