MUBENDE — Kitenga sub-county LC3 chairperson Yowasi Kalangwa recently directed parish chiefs to arrest parents who have failed to take their children to school despite the Universal Primary Education programme.

Police urges
LUWEERO — The district Police commander, Okello Makamot, has urged residents to report any officers who ask suspects to pay police bonds. In a recent notice to the public, Makmot said a police bond was free of charge.

Immunised
MBARARA — The district director of health services, Dr. Amooti Kaguna, recently said 546,123 children were immunised in the recent mass immunisation exercise. He said they had anticipated 526,287 children.

Mosque row
MPIGI — Court on Thursday ordered for the demolition of Bulamu mosque after a land row with a church. The mosque was built on land belonging to Bulamu Church of Uganda in Muduuma sub-county.
