ONDEO services (U) Limited (OSUL) has appointed Nile Bank Ltd as an agent to collect National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) bill payments.

The agreement was signed at the Bank’s boardroom on Thursday, but has been effective since 1st November.

According to the agreement, all NWSC clients in Kampala can make payments at any of the bank’s branches. Ondeo services collects NWSC bills in the Kampala area.

“In addition to this, Nile Bank customers can make payments at any of the 19 Automated Teller Machine (ATMs) in the bank’s network,” Nile Bank’s managing director Richard Byarugaba said.

The same services will also be offered to customers in Entebbe and Mbarara where the bank has branches.

He said however that the partnership is exceptionally important to business because it opens the bank’s doors to everybody, regardless of who they bank with.

“Any body who wants to pay their water bill quickly and efficiently can do so with convenience at any of our branches,” he added.

Frederic Endico, OSUL general manager, specified that this agreement with Nile Bank more than triples the number of payment points.

“Each customer can choose the most convenient location for clearing his water and sewerage monthly bill,” he revealed.

NWSC is currently involved in a drive to provide more efficient and accessible services to the public.
