KASESE has launched a monthly staff verification register to weed out ghost workers. Speaking at during the district management meeting at Rukoki Resource Centre, the senior personnel officer, Wilson Musabe, recently said salaries of heads who fail to update their departments’ information would be withheld.

Court bailiff on Monday attached Moyo district vehicle for non-payment of sh2m debt owed to a consultant in the sh4m joint contract with the Danish Royal Embassy (SNV) to assist in data management. Moyo CAO Peter Odon-gkara said the district paid half of it and SNV refused to pay the balance because it was not happy with the quality of the work.
