THE first ever MTN golf Open with aspirations to become the biggest event on the calendar was unveiled yesterday.
The tournament will start with an MTN corporate customers day at Uganda Golf Club (UGC) today ahead of the 36-hole MTN golf Open that tees off on Saturday.
“Over the years, golf has grown to become a much liked sport. MTN has committed its resources to make this tournament a success and it is therefore very upbeat about it,†said sponsorship and promotions manager Aggrey Kagonyera at a press conference yesterday.
Seventy players from 50 corporations will take part in the corporate event while 120 players from UGC are expected to compete in the open tournament.
