UGANDA Football Player’s Association (UFPA) are gunning for a change in the duration players have to keep with one club. They prefer a law that will allow star players to switch clubs annually as one way to improve their welfare due to an increase of market and demand.

In their statement to National Football League Committee (NFLC) signed by assistant secretary Mathias Lule, the players say that this will help increase efficiency in both the players and their administrators.

This was among the proposed amendments in next year’s Nile Special Super League rules and regulations.

UFPA also requested FUFA to offer them 10% of transfer money, sh10-50 per ticket sold and sh3000 from the transfer form, in order to help them carry out their programmes, most especially seminars for players.

“Their request will be put into consideration,” said FUFA secretary Haruna Mawanda.
