Is fame getting to Radio and Weasle?

Fame can be such a curse sometimes, especially if you just woke up and found yourself in the glare of media spotlight. You don’t believe us?

Ask Douglas Seguya aka Weasel (right) and Moses Sekiboogo aka Mozy Radio (left) who recently got thumped to pulp by Sudanese residing around Najjanankumbi.

The story: Weasle stormed the area and made a pass at one of the Sudanese beauties. Instead of the red carpet reception he was anticipating, he got a serious warning from the Sudanese who seemed to ask ani akumayi?

A shocked Weasle called it a bluff and in bullish display tried the second time. The Sudanese community took it personal and descended on the duo.

But experience, as the duo are spectacularly proving, is not the best teacher; now they are locking horns with their song writer Lucky J aka Juma Mbogo. The trio recently drew blood in Ange Noir after Lucky J demanded for more money because Nyambula, the song he wrote, is earning them lots of it.

Are these proverbial fights among stars a failure to handle fame or a rite of passage in our music industry?
