Beach course

VOLLEYBALL - The world volleyball bodyFIVB has sent Italian international referee Roberto Reggiani to conduct a course at Lido Beach, Entebbe on March 23. The referees’ course for east African countries has attracted 35 officials from Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania, according to the beach volleyball commission chairman Mofaht Masaba. Veterans on top

TABLE-TENNIS -Defending champion George Iga will come up against fellow veteran Paul Mutambuze in the Sharing Open table tennis championships due Friday at Sharing Youth Centre. Iga and Mutambuze, who dominated the table in the 80s, have been the players to beat, as the new crop of stars like Jackson Migadde have failed to stamp their authority on the sport. Regina Nakibuule is the women’s defending champion.
