NATIONAL super bantamweight pugilist Atanus Mugerwa has signed a two-year deal with TKO Enterprise of Las Vegas, Nevada, US.

The 22-year-old boxer, who is serving an indefinite ban by Uganda Amateur Boxing Federation for indiscipline and failing to keep his weight, put pen to paper Thursday at Nakivubo.

He was accompanied by his agent Edward Ssemanda and coach Mohammed Hassan.

“I am happy to sign this contract with the United States company. I want to showcase my skills and I promise to win world titles in my professional career,” Mugerwa said. “My goal is to show the world am one of the best in this country.”

The contract gives Mugerwa 66.2% of the earnings from every fight and the promotional team takes 33.1%.
“It’s a good deal and I believe he will put his contract to full use,” Ssemanda, who brokered the deal, said.
