Kayunga gets 262m given for water

THE Government has given Nazigo sub-county in Kayunga district sh262m for the construction of a safe water source. The district water officer, Robert Edema, said the money was given under the Poverty Alleviation Fund.
THE Government has given Nazigo sub-county in Kayunga district sh262m for the construction of a safe water source. The district water officer, Robert Edema, said the money was given under the Poverty Alleviation Fund.
He said the project would be completed in two years and it would be done in phases. “Upon completion, the source will provide piped water to residents in the nearby villages,†Edema said.
Commissioning the project at Nazigo on Thursday, Kayunga resident district commissioner, Margaret Baryehuki, said: “I will not allow any company to be given money after it has done shoddy work.â€
Kley Technical Services will construct the water source.
