STANBIC Bank has donated computers worth sh10m to Salaama School for the blind in Mukono

STANBIC Bank has donated computers worth sh10m to Salaama School for the blind in Mukono, writes Nicholas Oneal.

The computers are installed with Braille software, a crucial reading aid for those with sight impairments.

Daniel Nsibambi, the bank’s communication manager, said the donation was aimed at helping the school expand its computer resource base.

“Computers are important in effective teaching and better learning for blind students,” he said.

Nsibambi said the donation was enabled by the proceeds from the 2008 annual goat race held at the Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo.
for which Stanbic bank is a primary partner.

Stanbic is pleased to be extending a helping hand to disadvantaged members of the society but who have great potential. The students of Salaama school of the blind are such people and our assistance hope will help them realize their life ambitions.
