Farmers get new fertilisers
MUKONO-Farmers in the district have embraced new organic fertilsers that increase crop yields. An Indian firm, JN Agritech International, provided the fertilisers which include New Suryamin, Megacal, organic NPK, Bio-Potash and Bio-phosphorous. Launching the manure at Mindi village in Kasawo sub-county, the agricultural officer, Henry Lwanga, said the chemicals would enable farmers venture into commercial agriculture and solve the problem of poor soils.
