LEADING Kenyan league side Nondies will today test the Rugby Cranes in a trial game at Kyadondo ground, Lugogo at 5pm.

The game will help national coach Chester Williams assess the ability of players and cut down on the squad he is training.

Cranes will have their final trial game Saturday gainst the same Kenyan side in Entebbe before they go into residential camp.
“Nondies will help us identify the right positions for players and also select the 28 that we shall concentrate on in the camp,” Williams said.

He asked the rugby union to convince fly-half Edmond Tumusiime to join the team. Williams sees Tumusiime as the right scrum half partner for Robert Seguya.
“Seguya is experienced, strong and good in the scrum half,” Williams explained.

Tumusiime had been summoned but he did not report for training because of a heavy work schedule at his Kabale duty station.
Cranes host Tunisia on June 13 before heading to north Africa for the return leg in two weeks.
They must win the tie to progress to the final where victory would take them to their maiden World Cup finals.
