BUNDIBUGYO-Teachers have been warned against absenteeism. District education officer Willy Nshabiirwe said those who engaged in the vice risked losing their jobs. He said lack of commitment had affected the education standards in the district. Nshabiirwe was on Tuesday speaking to journalists about the challenges faced by the education department. He said some teachers reported late to school and left early to go to bars.

Man held over impersonation
KIBAALE-The Police are holding a 25-year-old man said to have been impersonating Kajara MP Steven Tashobya and conning people of money. The district Police crime chief, Richard Suuna, said Rogers Arinaitwe was a former student of Uganda Christian University. Addressing journalists in his office on Friday, Suuna said Arinaitwe was arrested at one of his victime’s house, where he had gone to collect sh300,000 he had conned from him.
