THE sale of Uganda Super League club Nalubaale to Proline Soccer Academy has been halted. Soccer governing body FUFA wants former club owner Karim Njubi to first clear players’ salary arrears before sealing the transaction.

The FUFA executive gave Njubi a two-week ultimatum to sort out the payments.

Failure to clear the players’ wages will see Nalubaale replaced by Mbarara who were the best relegated side in the 2008-9 season.

FUFA competitions committee secretary Moses Magogo told the weekly PostBank press conference yesterday that the future of Nalubaale’s contracted players must be sorted first.

In another development FIFA instructors will come to Kampala to conduct referees’ fitness tests on September 15.
