Abdulsamad well placed for national and clubman double

ROOKIE Abdulsamad Mohammed scooped points in the King of Speed sprint in Mukono on Sunday to get on course for the clubman and national rally championships double.

ROOKIE Abdulsamad Mohammed scooped points in the King of Speed sprint in Mukono on Sunday to get on course for the clubman and national rally championships double.

Abdulsamad who already leads the National Rally Championship standings with 152 points picked up more in the sprint to top the Clubman Rally Championship CRC as well at 71 points.

The Jinja driver came fourth overall in the sprint but second among CRC drivers to reap eight points and take his tally to 64.5.

In the CRC title race he beats second placed Nasser Mutebi by 5.5 points while 19-year-old Shafiq Ssemujju is third, eight points adrift.
