Kajubi started celebrating after taking a two-game lead but her joy was cut short with Tushabe moving quickly to level 2-2 before she took the decisive game in the best of five.

In the doubles final Carol Kanzira paired with Joan Nakayiza to beat Kajubi and Doreen Mugerwa 3-2 to the same prize.

The championship, the first of its kind for women pool players, attracted individuals and teams from Bushenyi, Iganga and Jinja.

It was not easy coming from two games down, said Tushabe, adding that it was a good start to building a long winning streak.

Kajubi, who was left stunned by the defeat hoped she would do better if pitted against Tushabe again.
