SULA Lwanga announced his return to domestic foot¬ball in heartbreaking fashion yesterday after bungling his kick to hand SC Villa a sudden death penalty shoot-out win over Police, and with it a Super Eight semi-final date against Victors.

The left-footed midfielder, back from a short playing stint in South Africa, was the only casualty in the dramatic shoot-out that Villa won 5-4 after both sides had settled for a 1-1 draw during normal time.
In what was an open and free-flowing encounter, both sides had had a number of opportunities, with the Blues just edging the first half in terms of possession and clear-cut attempts on goal.

Kipson Atuhaire’s opening effort for the Blues; after team captain Simeon Masaba had missed a penalty on five minutes, was henceforth a product of sustained ascendancy.

Coach Angelo Lonyesi had set his Police side up in a 4-4-2 diamond formation that his players looked uncomfortable employing in the opening period, but the second half belonged to them and the side’s equalizer arrived when Joram Katende struck from spot.
In the earlier game, Julius Enguude and Paul Kibande struck as Victors eliminat¬ed Bunamwaya 2-1.

Meanwhile, Express foot¬ball club has retained David Otti, Matia Lule and John Okech as head coach and assistants respectively for the 2009/10 season, reports Johnson Were.

The club’s publicist Tom Kimbowa confirmed the coaching structure, and added that Jimmy Muguwa, had been moved to another area of manage¬ment.

"The return of Hassan Mubiru and Ayub Balyejusa is pending an executive decision."
The players unveiled include Godfrey Wakabu and Robert Saka as goal keepers.
The rest of the team has M.Kizito, R.Sekatte, A.Mayanja, B.Kasozi, B.Kiyega, J.Isabirye, I.Kinene, H.Bagonza, I.Emuge, J.Ntambi, P.Sibo, R.Male, M.Ndaula, N.Semakula,
C.Katamba, Al.Kiiza, F.Sentongo, J.Bakabulindi, S.Jingo, D.Serunkuma, K.Tumusiime, N.Kabali, K.Kasawuli, A.Witaba, Y.Gafumba, J.and Okwalinga.
