RUKUNGIRI-Muslims have vowed to boycott the 2011 general elections if their political leaders do not grant their requests. The district Khadi, Sheikh Abuddalah Mpabuka, told the Muslims who attended the Idd celebrations at Rukungiri mosque on Sunday that Muslims had no representatives in any political post. “We are a stepping stone for politicians to get what they want but they quickly forget us,” he complained.

Man accused of sodomy
HOIMA-The Police have arrested a man accused of sodomising two boys of 11 and 12 years in Kyakapeya Primary School. The mid-western region Police spokesperson, Zurah Ganyana, said on Friday Godfrey Asaba, 35, a businessman in Kyakapeya trading centre in Buhanika sub-county, is being held at Hoima Police Station. The suspect reportedly lured the two boys with a job to dig in his garden before he sodomised them.
