THE FUFA versus Mbale Football Association case switched back to Mbale yesterday with a session that ended in yet another adjournment to decide whether the injunction against the national federation should stand.

High Court assistant registrar
Lillian Mwandha adjourned the case to October 28 in Mbale after submissions by both parties.

Mwandha, who last week submitted the case file to her Kampala bosses for perusal, will rule on Mbale’s objection to FUFA’s application for removal of the injunction.

FUFA lawyer Geoffrey Nsamba and his counterpart James Gyabi before adjournment at 2.40pm agreed on Wednesday as the most convenient date. Mbale secured a 90-day injunction against FUFA’s electoral process after disagreeing with the soccer governing body over participation of district delegates in the federation’s elections.

FUFA however later reversed its stand, a move they insist rendered the injunction irrelevant. They are seeking an out of court settlement though Mbale District Football Association has stuck to its guns.

Gyabi yesterday argued that Nsamba had no instructions from the respondents authorizing him to represent them (FUFA) in the case. He later asked court to dismiss FUFA’s application.
