HE is not one to over indulge himself, especially when it comes to luxury cars. The last time he appeared on this page was a good number of years back when he bought a Porsche Cayenne. Well, this time Club Silk/Silk Events proprietor, Elvis Seyanzi has brought in a sleek Merc GL 420 rdi 4matic with sports rims to kill for. We spotted the UAM series car parked outside the club on Thursday night during Fashion Nite.
The Mercedes-Benz GL-Klasse was first introduced by the German car maker at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. The GL was designed and intended primarily for the American market, where demand was high for big SUVs at the time.
The model addresses the market segment that desires a large, luxurious and spacious 7-seater SUV. Mercedes-Benz wanted to offer a large SUV that would be excellent to drive both on and off road, so they fitted the GL with standard Adaptive Damping System (ADS). We don’t exactly know which model Sekyanzi’s is but does not come cheap.
With just a few optional extras, it’s easy to spend a lot of money. With leather seats, adaptive xenon headlights and an elecÂtric sunroof, the car costs about £70,000 (sh220,500,000) less taxes. Now Sekyanzi’s is far more pimped to his taste. That plus taxes, means he should have splurged no less than sh350m on it.
