CHIEF magistrate Jessy Byaruhanga on Friday sentenced Esther Nakayiwa to six months in prison for lying that her step-daughter had disappeared from Kiwoko Police Post in Nakaseke.
CHIEF magistrate Jessy Byaruhanga on Friday sentenced Esther Nakayiwa to six months in prison for lying that her step-daughter had disappeared from Kiwoko Police Post in Nakaseke.
The 14-year-old girl was on September 1 released on bond from the Police post where she had been held over assaulting a fellow minor. Nakayiwa lied in order to implicate the Police.
The girl, whose purported disappearance had led to the arrest of a Police officer, Ibrahim Sennyonga, was found with her grandmother in Masaka. Nakayiwa’s husband, Muhammad Nsereko was remanded at Butuntumula prison until November 16.
