Sex education to help fight HIV
KASESE-Sex education in the African tradition for the children could help in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS. The Omusinga, Charles Wesley Mumbere Irema-Ngoma, made the observation on December 4, while meeting a group of 22 orphans and staff memebers from Alpha Children Ministry Nursery School at his palace. He said one of the causes of the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases was moral decay, which he blamed on copying the western culture. The Omusinga thanked President Yoweri Museveni, who he said had been the first African leader to openly declare the existence of HIV/AIDS in his country, an act that saved many lives.
