RECENTLY, on this page, we broke news of former American world boxing heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield coming to Uganda for what is set to be the biggest fight on Ugandan soil with South African pugilist Francois “â€white Buffalo†Botha in a World Boxing Federation title fight.
That fight will be on January 16. Now news creeping in is that the initial deal was for “Iron†Mike Tyson, the famous American former heavyweight champ to fight in Uganda in February.
However, that changed after the Holyfield deal was inked. But that has not entirely put a stop on Mike Tyson’s fight in Uganda.
Word seeping in from the USA is that a group of former Uganda national boxers living in the United States (whom we hear are behind the fight) have vowed to see the Tyson fight through.
So again, we are letting you know, Mike Tyson is coming to Uganda.
