Nine-year-old girl killed TORORO - A nine-year-old girl died on Christmas day after a drunk man hurled a brick at her. The Police were told that Adama Akello, a daughter of Adama and Annet Ongoye of Ogwang Zionem in Nagiongera sub-county, collapsed and died when Okoth Mugole pelted a brick at her, breaking her left ribs. The suspect was detained at Tororo Central Police Station.

Factory to build schools
JINJA - Three primary schools will be constructed by Nile Ply Factory in the forest reserves at Kagoma county. The project is aimed at extending education to the communities that maintain their reserves, an official said. Man dies of crude waragi

BUSIA - A 37-year-old man of Ogole cell in Malaba was found dead after taking crude waragi. The man, only identified as Papa, reportedly went on a drinking spree when his teenage wife left him. The eastern region Police spokesman, Iddi Ssenkumbi, said Papa was yesterday found on the road leading to his home in Ogole cell.
