FOR 16-year-old Victor Kugonza, excelling in last year’s O’level examinations was a sign that his dream of becoming a medical doctor is coming closer.

Kugonza got aggregate 12 in his best eight subjects at Turkish Light Academy in Lweza, Wakiso district.
“I really worked hard for the results,” he said.

When Kugonza got aggregate 7 in Primary Leaving Examinations, he secured a bursary at the school, from where he also intends to do his A’ level.
He now wants to do Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics at A’ level so as to become a doctor.

Kugonza was also accompanied by a colleague, Samuel Nadiri, who got 14 in his best eight. Nadiri is an orphan residing in Kabowa with his uncle James Gasim. He told The New Vision that he would want to do Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics at A’ level.

His dream is to become a cardiologist, especially for children. The school head teacher, Hakki Aydin promised to sponsor them for A’ level studies.
