The Woman MP, Cecilia Ogwal, is sponsoring 13 girls who excelled in the 2008 primary leaving and O’level examinations. The beneficiaries are victims of HIV/ AIDS, orphans and survivors of the Lord’s Resistance Army atrocities. “I have already paid school fees for those who want to go for vocational training and I have given money to those who want to continue with secondary education,†Ogwal said.

A total of 431 people have received free spectacles from the Canadian Cooperative Association. The organisation collaborated with the Muyenga and Gulu rotary clubs in Uganda.The Gulu club president, Dr. Anthony Ochaya, said the majority of the beneficiaries were from Wurib Wunu Mon Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Uganda.
