ON Saturday April 11, Kampala Pentecostal Church celebrated 25 years of ministry. The celebrations were held at the church’s new base in Kyengera, a city suburb. The highlight of the day was the change of name to Watoto Church, which the leaders say is synonymous with the true meaning of what the church is meant to be. Started in April 1984, the church has grown to be one of the most influential institutions in Uganda, with a membership of over 20,000.
