KASESE-Over sh21m was on Sunday realised at a fundraising drive for the construction of a science laboratory at Kilembe Secondary School. The ceremony was presided over by the defence minister, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga, who contributed sh2m. The Omusinga of Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere, bought a goat at sh1.2m. Speaking after inspecting a science exhibition, Kiyonga challenged educational institutions to teach practically.

Parents urged to monitor pupils
MBARARA-Parents have been urged to monitor the performance of their children at school to ensure that they excel in studies. Speaking during a tour of schools in Kakiika sub-county in Kashari county on Friday, urban planning state minister Urban Tibamanya urged the parents to contribute more towards the welfare of their children.
