The organisers say this is a real deal and the pageant will happen. It will be a contest of brains not an exhibition of voluptuous body shapes snugly fitting in swimsuits and catwalks. We hear the five East African countries will each be represented by a winner. “We are in touch with the National CHOGM task force and we wrote to them asking them to let the winner meet with the Queen when she comes in November.
They told as that our request was communicated to Buckingham Palace,†Elizabeth Namaganda, the marketing officer for Miss Chogm 2007, revealed. The finals are slated for October 22 at Emerald Hotel on Bombo Road.
